What Specibo is built on, and the terms it is used under.

Specibo is built on open-source software. This page reproduces the notices that travel with the product. The same text ships inside every deployment and in the source repository, so this page and the product cannot drift apart without one of them being wrong.

Biobanking engine

Specibo wraps an open-source biobanking engine distributed under the BSD 3-Clause Licence. We do not maintain a hard fork of the upstream project — we track it — though Specibo does ship engine modifications of its own, which the licence expressly permits.

Specibo is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by the upstream project or its authors. Their names are reproduced below solely to satisfy the licence's attribution requirement, and are not used to promote Specibo.
